PROVENANCE

At Locale we change our menu seasonally to take advantage of the best local and Italian products available on the market.

Our cherry tomatoes, sweet and full of flavour, come from Pachino in Sicily where they are grown outside. Although tomatoes are available all year round, they are at their best in July and August.

Our olives come from Castelvetrano in Sicily, bright green in colour, big and meaty, these olives are harvested when young and are cured in brine. They make former non-olive eaters rave about ours!

We use Parmiggiano Reggiano that comes from Zocca, on the hills around Modena in Emilia Romagna.

The Prosciutto Toscano from our salumi misti is grown and cured in Macelleria Belli near Sienna in Tuscany and is made with Italian rare breed pigs.

We source our Mozzarella di Bufala from a family owned company in Mondragone in the heart of Campania region. Our DOP Mozzarella is creamy and rich in flavour.

Our 12oz rib eye on the bone, is reared naturally on Scotland lush pastureland by the Geddes family in Longhaugh, Bridge of Marnock, in Aberdeenshire.

We use fresh English peas and broad beans and our samphire is grown in Saint Mawes, Cornwall.

We have the same high standards when it comes to our fish and shellfish. Our mussels are from Scotland and our salmon is from Loch Creran in Scotland. We source our cod from sustainable supplies in Brixham, Cornwall.
